We’ll start by creating a new calendar that we will then share with outside users. In the left side of your Outlook calendar, click the plus sign next to “My Calendars.” This will add a new calendar to the bottom of the list. Give it a name then you’re ready to move on to the next step. Permissions: Set up a shared calendar in Office 365. Instant syncing is enabled only if both users are in the same Office 365 tenant, or if the calendar is shared by an Outlook.com user. The table below provides more details about the types of configurations that support instant syncing. In the future, instant syncing will be enabled for all calendars shared among Office 365 and Outlook.com users.
I have set up a room mailbox which is used to make reservations to a group calendar.I would like to give users read permission so that users can read also additional information of one reservation item. Now after I have given 'Default' user 'Reviewer' access rights, users can see the subject and who made the reservation but not the detailsof one reservation item.I havent found access rights tht dont give permission to edit items but gives permission to fully read reservation items.I have followed link below. If I set myself as an 'Owner' of any room calendar mailbox (with below syntax)Add-MailboxFolderPermission -Identity [email protected] -User [email protected] -AccessRights Ownershouldnt I be able to open that mailbox trough OWA?Somehow I remember that I have done this before with some other room calendar mailbox. Now when I test this, OWA opens the choice panel for language and time zone but after that it just says 'You don't have permission to open this mailbox.' Even though I have set myself as the owner of that mailbox.
